The project Caretek has officially come to end after the review meeting.  The two years project (2018-2019) addresses intervention combined with elderly people with Alzheimer’s disease (and other dementias), and their family caregivers by a new immersive system.

The project led by Virtualware partnering with Evolve Rehabilitation Technology and Group SSI successfully culminated in 2019. The project is aimed at researching and developing an VR solution that response needs from people suffering Alzheimer and other diseases, not only for them but also for caregivers and relatives, to improve their quality life and helping them in private and community day-to-day situations.

The work developed by the companies participating incorporates innovative technologies, serious games, immersive environments (VR), and advanced EEG neurofeedback, with the aim of helping intervention elderly people suffering from Azlheimer and other physiologic and emotional and cognitive disease. A feasible and easy-to-use tool for therapeutic interventions, cognitive enhancement, as well as a method for basic research.
