Virtualware obtains ENS certification in Spain, strengthening its position as a technology provider for Public Administrations.

Virtualware (EPA: ALVIR), a pioneer in enterprise software based on immersive and 3D technologies, has obtained the Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS) certification, demonstrating compliance with the highest security standards required to operate with Spanish Public Administrations.

The Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS), regulated by Royal Decree 311/2022, qualifies Virtualware as a trusted technology provider for the Spanish public sector. This recognition, granted after passing a rigorous independent audit, certifies that Virtualware’s systems, processes and data meet the guarantees of confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity and traceability required by Spanish cybersecurity regulations.

This certification was one of the strategic objectives set out in the company’s 2025 Management Plan, alongside the renewal and update of ISO 27001:2022 and the obtainment of TISAX AL3 — the highest security level recognized by the European automotive industry.

The certification also accredits the resilience of VIROO, Virtualware’s enterprise XR infrastructure platform, which natively incorporates advanced access control, traceability and data governance mechanisms, and is built to operate in highly regulated environments such as Public Administrations, defense, advanced industry and education.

Virtualware has achieved all three planned certifications, which recognize both its capacity to manage information security rigorously and the resilience of VIROO, its XR infrastructure platform for industrial, educational and defense environments, against potential security breaches or system failures.

lperegcomite“In a world where data is the most valuable asset, security cannot be an option. These certifications demonstrate that protecting our clients’ information is an absolute priority. We firmly believe in digital sovereignty: organizations must be able to trust that their data is protected.”

— Laura Pereg, Management Assurance Officer at Virtualware.

The certification process was led by Virtualware’s Security Committee, with the support of specialized partner companies: BITAR S.L., responsible for Virtualware’s infrastructure maintenance, and CIBERSARE, in charge of pentesting audits of both the infrastructure and the VIROO platform services. External audits were conducted by independent auditors Juan Funcia (Intertek) and Juan Jose Uria (Bureau Veritas), with Javier Garay (Foresa Consulting) acting as internal auditor.

All actions were carried out within the framework of the “SOCS y Certificaciones en Ciber” programme, promoted by SPRI — Basque Business Development Agency, as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds.
