Virtualware to Participate in Eurosatory 2026, Strengthening Its European Leadership in XR for Defense and Security
Virtualware (EPA: ALVIR), the European pioneer in 3D-driven enterprise software, will exhibit at Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s leading defense and security exhibitions, as it continues to strengthen its position as a European leader in XR for defense and security.
Eurosatory is a premier international event for defense and security, held biennially in Paris. The 2026 edition will take place from June 15 to 19, bringing together armed forces, government representatives, industry leaders, and cutting‑edge technology providers from across the globe.
At the Spanish Pavilion, organized by TEDAE (the Spanish Association of Defense, Security, Aeronautics and Space Technology Companies), Virtualware will present how its XR technology supports advanced military training by enabling safe, repeatable, and highly realistic simulations in complex operational scenarios.
Built as a robust infrastructure layer, VIROO integrates with existing defense systems and operates under strict security and data sovereignty requirements, allowing armed forces to conduct distributed, collaborative training across locations—including in restricted or disconnected environments—while improving readiness, decision‑making, and operational efficiency.

Highlighting its capabilities, the companies will showcase SIMUR, an advanced VR training simulator developed with the Spanish Military Health School (EMISAN). SIMUR enhances operational readiness and multi-domain training by reproducing NATO standard medical protocols in CBRN scenarios. The system has been featured in NATO working groups and major defense events including I/ITSEC and the European Defense Innovation Days.
“Our presence at Eurosatory 2026 reinforces Virtualware’s commitment to technological innovation in the defense sector. Following years of collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, participation in NATO research projects, and our recent incorporation into TEDAE, we continue to drive the adoption of immersive and 3D technologies, such as virtual reality and digital twins, in complex operational environments.” said Unai Extremo, CEO of Virtualware.
With more than two decades of expertise, Virtualware has become a strategic partner in the field of technological innovation applied to defense, developing and deploying secure technological infrastructures that enable the implementation of distributed simulation and training solutions, that strengthen decision-making and the operational readiness of the Spanish Armed Forces and allied militaries.
